""Wills' guitar loops and samples create a sound that a full-blown band might struggle to craft. The theatricality of Maclure's performance seduces you into a weird and scary world and the way she handles the concertina would make the knees of grown men tremble""
***** The Herald
""The Scottish songstress with the disarmingly beautiful voice - a kind of anglophone Juliette Gréco -- is back with this superb set. John Wills' eerie production and covers of songs by David Lynch let you know she is in touch with her dark side, and on tracks such as 'Frozen in Sleep' she positively bewitches with her haunting sincerity. Come and join Pumajaw as they complete a week of development with Scottish National Theatre director, Graeme Maley. This is an opportunity to see their Made in Scotland selected show before the real thing is performed at the fringe this year. The multimedia performance is a progression of their 2013 show which was nominated as one of the top 50 events of the fringe by The Scotsman. It will include new songs and films and further explore the dark side of that Pumajaw are well known for, featuring the stellar voice of Pinkie Maclure alongside John Wills’ electronica and film.
