A Very Short Introduction To… strand is back this year with 9 topics, each packed into an accessible lunch hour. For those interested in biology, an introduction to Human Anatomy (April 10), Genes (April 6) or Hormones (April 14) will provide excellent food for thought. For fans of meatier lunches, we serve Forensic Psychology (April 7) and Global Catastrophes (April 9). Animal Kingdom (April 16) and Coral Reefs (April 17) might be of interest of those who wish to be taken far, far away… even if only for one hour. If you want to understand your child better (or maybe your younger self?) be sure to come along to A Very Short Introduction To… Child Psychology (April 15). April 8 will see Prof Frank Close, later that day in conversation with Prof Peter Higgs, taking the audience on a journey into an atom during the Particle Physics lunch hour. Fasten your seatbelts!
