Artist as a Seer in the Quantum Age
Artist as a Seer in the Quantum Age
To see . . . What does it take? How many times can we look at a piece of art, and see more and more and so much more? Where is this more coming from? Where does the outer image end, and the inner image(s) begin? where does the inner image end, and the outer begin? In modern Quantum Physics “Time” is left out of calculations, as it is only a self referencing construct. Therefore the question is, is space and energy infinite?
This collective of multidimensional visionary artists, show the art form of painting their conscious awareness, exploring the interdependency of the inner and the apparently far “Out-with” images appearing. The seemingly fixing as “single individual independent” paintings, when observed show the continuous movement of infinite energy. Jung said about such art, “Although they come into being at a definite time, they are and have always been timeless.” Mystics refer to the astral, mental and nirvanic planes of consciousness. While Jung refered to this realm as the collective symbolic unconscious. This visionary realm is the space we visit during dreams and altered or heightened states of conscious awareness. Every sacred art tradition begins with the visionary: the Seer
This exhibition features the work of four artists based in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dunbar: James Page, Basia Mindewicz, Marta Kamila Pawelek and Billi Love.
