‘Welcome my Son’, is a captivating piece of visual theatre exploring the human condition and themes of social conformity, isolation, prejudice and abandonment. It is a solo performance devised and performed by Phil Hardie through circus acrobatics, physical theatre and spoken word to draw out those elements of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein story.

Presented in the fitting surroundings of The Demonstration Room in Edinburgh’s Summerhall this archetypal horror story is brought to life. With a chilling and uncomfortable original score by composer Stuart MacFerson this production is not for the faint hearted and will leave you clinging to your seat. This is the shows first public presentation following a 4 month development period which began in October last year. The project has been supported by Creative Scotland and is the first time that Phil Hardie has produced a full length show for theatre presentation. It is hoped that the show will tour venues across Scotland and the UK in autumn of this year.
