Kid Canaveral return in July with their follow up to the Scottish Album of the Year Award nominated Now That You Are a Dancer and an expanded line-up. ‘Faulty Inner Dialogue’ will be released on Lost Map Records on 29th July 2016.
They are delighted to launch the album at Summerhall on Saturday 30th July, with some very special guests to be announced.
The quartet have become a quintet with Michael Craig (keys and
electronics) joining David MacGregor (Guitars & Voice), Kate Lazda (Guitars & Voice), Rose McConnachie (Bass Guitar & Voice) and Scott McMaster (Drumkit) to help the band reproduce their ever-expanding sound.
Who?
Being certified DIY-enthusiasts, Kid Canaveral started their own label, Straight to Video Records, in order to release their debut single ‘Smash Hits’ in 2007. Since then, they’ve released two critically acclaimed records – Shouting at Wildlife in 2010 (by themselves first, and then re-released by Fence Records after the initial pressing sold out); and Now That You Are a Dancer in 2013 on Lost Map Records – and a whole bunch of singles and EPs. Embarking from their adopted hometown of Edinburgh, their tours have taken in the UK, Europe, the US (including appearances at South By South West in Texas) and Canada.
