Highlights this year include Blank (6.30pm) by acclaimed Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, which will feature performers encouraging audience members to fill in gaps in the script; Macbain (3-14 Aug, 8.55pm), which will mash up the stories of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth with Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love; and Heads Up (7.05pm), by Kieran Hurley (pictured above), who first came to the fore in 2012 with another Fringe show, Beats.
