Summerhall will transform into a vibrant multi-arts centre throughout the Fringe. This iconic landmark building will inspire a number of creative special projects, acknowledging the relationship between the sciences and arts, and will pay tribute to the buildings historic past as the Royal Dick Veterinary School

Managed by View Forth Consultants, throughout the month of August, Summerhall have a designed a number of creative opportunities happening across the site.  We are pleased to announce a joint Summerhall artist residency for artists Tim Taylor & Kenny Watson A.K.A Jim Arcola who will be engaged in the creation of site-specific work.  In addition the courtyard bar will host new work by Edinburgh’s graffiti maestro Elph and friends Many styles crew and Myeone.

We’ve invited professional artists to create new work in response to this unique environment.  Edinburgh based artist Derrick Guild & actor Ewen Bremner and photographer Phoebe Grigor will be seen on location working on a special collaboration throughout August.

Other collaborations will be seen from Yellowback Productions, Peter Warburton, Robert Powell and Gregor Sloss present ‘Mapping the Burning Lands’.

In addition, we have extensive representations from local Edinburgh Artists, curators and exhibitors such as Sierra Metro, The Demarco European Foundation, and look forward to showcasing a vivid array of new work..

David Galletly, will include his latest illustrations conceptual photographer Ingrid Christie’s monumental work includes her laboratory projections, medical modeling, and uses the stochastic process,, and Edinburgh milliner James Faulkner will display his latest road kill creations.
