Mamoru Iriguchi

Summerhall and Mamoru (…and Gavin)

2011 – 2021

Mamoru Iriguchi is a theatre maker and performance artist. He’s been performing at Summerhall since 2013 and has been a regular highlight of our Fringe programmes as well as hosting our Scratch Nights. He was one of our Autopsy Award supported artists in 2016 with 4D Cinema and most recently presented Eaten, “an educational conceptualist entertainment for ages six and up.” (The Times) as part of our 2018 Fringe programme.

With his background in zoology, as well as his unclassifiably brilliant performance practice, making him a great fit with Summerhall, we were always going to ask Mamoru to contribute to this exhibition.
