Nothing Ever Happens Here Presents: Broken Records

Broken Records are an Edinburgh based band formed in late 2006.  After a self-released gig only EP, they released a trio of limited edition singles in 2008 – If The News Makes You Sad, Don’t Watch It (Young Turks) , Slow Parade (Fandango), and Lies (Distiller).

In 2009 they released their debut album Until The Earth Begins to Part (4AD) and the Out on the Water EP.  They followed this up in late 2010 with their acclaimed second album Let Me Come Home (4AD).

Broken Records released their third album Weights & Pulleys on their own label (J Sharp Records) along with the Toska EP in the spring of 2014, receiving the best reviews of the bands career.

During this time they’ve toured extensively in the UK, Europe and the USA, including festival appearances at SXSW, Glastonbury, Haldern Pop and a main stage slot at Latitude.  Their music has also featured on TV dramas including “Lost” ,“Skins” and the film “The Company Men”, they have recorded several BBC Radio sessions, and their single A Darkness Rises Up was voted one of the top 30 tracks of 2010 on BBC6 Music.
