Summerhall Wins Outstanding Venue at Herald Culture Awards 2019

Summerhall are thrilled to have been awarded Outstanding Venue 2019 at this year’s Herald Culture Awards.

The Herald Scottish Culture Awards 2019 took place on Thursday, July 11 at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh. Broadcaster, Bryan Burnett, hosted the evening.

The Outstanding Venue  2019 category saw Summerhall face stiff  competition from Glasgow’s Tramway and Aberdeen Music Hall, both integral parts to their local and the national cultural output.

Rowan Campbell, Summerhall’s General Manager, commented:

We are extremely proud to have been recognised by The Herald Culture Awards this year. Summerhall is the sum of many diverse, amazing parts, from artists, residents and of course, our staff team, who work tirelessly as they contribute to Edinburgh’s cultural scene.

The event was sponsored by Cameron, Edinburgh Napier University, EventScotland (part of VisitScotland’s events directorate), MGA Management, Theatre School of Scotland and Rotunda Comedy Club.
