Christmas Market Stallholder Applications Open


WELCOME TO SUMMERHALL’S CHRISTMAS MARKET 2024!

Summerhall’s annual Christmas Market returns for another year as part of our Big Christmas Weekend.

As we did last year, we will be offering the option for stallholders to book either a one or two-day pitch within our market venues the Dissection Room, Main Hall and Library Gallery.

Taking place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December, the Christmas Market will host a line-up of Edinburgh and Scotland’s best independent makers, as well as tasty food stands and entertainment throughout the day.

Successful applicants will be charged £150 +VAT for two days of trade or £100+ VAT for one day of trade.

We have a limited number of stalls available for the Christmas Market and completion of the application form does not guarantee a space.

Our Christmas Market Events Team review all stallholder applications and will offer stalls to a select number of applicants. They work hard to ensure that Summerhall’s Christmas Market includes a variety of stallholders, and reflects some of the very best independent makers that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer.

IMPORTANT DATES

· Friday 26th April, Applications open

· Friday 3rd May, 23:00 – Applications close.

· Monday 20th May – Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified on or before this date. You will be notified as early as possible by email, and an invoice for the Christmas Market inclusion fee and any additional power that you require.

· Friday 31st May, 12:00 – Inclusion fee must be paid before this date in order for your business to be included.

· Monday 29th October – Applications for set-up slots will be released.

· 5th November – Venue and position information will be sent out.

· Saturday 7th December – Christmas Market Day 1 takes place

· Sunday 8th December – Christmas Market Day 2 take place

MARKET STALLS INFORMATION

Successful applicants for market stalls will be offered a place in our Christmas Market, which will take place at Summerhall on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December 2024.

· Each stallholder will be allocated a 6ft wooden trestle table.

· Power is only available with prior request at a rate of £20 (+VAT). Please specify in your application if you wish to have this.

· All electronic items need to be PAT tested.

· Power may not be available to all stalls.

· Advertisement, décor, or stock outwith the table display that may affect Summerhall’s décor, pose a risk to health and safety or encroach on other stallholders’ space is not permitted.
