Jon Boden, best known is the lead singer of the progressive folk juggernaut Bellowhead, launched his solo career in 2016, playing the self-penned songs of the albums Painted Lady and Songs From The Floodplain and latest album Afterglow (Oct ’17, Hudson Records), material from Bellowhead, Spiers & Boden and his A Folk Song A Day project.

Married for 51 years, Dawson and Liz Murray share a great passion for plants and have spent the twenty-one years since they moved to Fife designing a beautiful garden which provides a constantly changing source of inspiration for their work. Although sharing a studio, their work on the theme of the garden is very different and extremely individual in interpretation.

Responding to public demand, Jane Frere created her own protest blackboard in her Highland studio, drawing on darker issues from the blitzing of Gaza in 2014 and the Scottish referendum, to messages smuggled from jailed human rights activists in Bahrain. The artist’s latest response reflects the world’s rude awakening to the rise of altRight, anti-immigrant bigotry, BREXIT and TRUMP.
