High-society dropouts, and reclusive cousins of Jackie Onassis, Grey Gardens is an intimate portrait of the lives of two women living together amidst the souvenirs of their lives.

This 1976 documentary by Albert and David Maysles, codirected by Ellen Hovde and Muffie Meyer, in the direct cinema style, quickly became a cult classic and is regularly listed in the top ten documentaries of all time.
