Launched in 2010, Glasgow Film Festival’s Margaret Tait award was inspired by pioneering Orcadian filmmaker Margaret Tait (1918 – 1999) and has been awarded to a moving image artist or artists based on Scotland, offering support and a high-profile platform for them to exhibit their work. In this unique event, Summerhall will host the Edinburgh premiere of GFF commissioned works by Stephen Sutcliffe (Outwork), Anne-Marie Copestake (And Under That) and Sarah Forrest (that now).

In addition to this, there will be a selection of Margaret Tait’s own shorts, along with live music by Stevie Jones and Jer Reid with members of Muscles of Joy.
