Summerhall presents Scotland’s first ever Kung Fu Film Festival this September. From classics including Bruce Lee’s Enter The Dragon to hidden comedy gems like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, celebrate some of the greatest action film-making ever with us across 1 week only.

There are the absolute classics, like Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon, and Jackie Chan’s hilarious breakthrough Drunken Master, with both accompanied by Q&As on the art and science of kung fu.

We’ve also looked at just how much humour there can be in kungfu movies. 2001’s Shaolin Soccer is a real hidden gem about a Shaolin monk who reunites his five brothers, years after their master’s death, to apply their superhuman martial arts skills to playing football – think Space Jam levels of sporting artistry on display.

Any ticket to a screening at the Kung Fu Film Festival grants access to one of the White Crane ScotlandIntroductory Martial Arts Classes or the Suffrajitsu introductory classes (subject to availability on the day, to guarantee place in class please book a ticket).

Summerhall Kung Fu Film Festival is funded by Screen Scotland, and delivered in partnership with:
