Rainforest Saving

Rainforest Saving

Jean-Pierre Dutileaux
Thu 02 Aug 2018   -  Mon 01 Oct 2018
11:00-18:00 (Tues-Sun)
_ Venue: Courtyard

Coinciding with a larger exhibition in Luxembourg about Dutileaux’s life and work, Summerhall presents its take on his 40 years been exploring, filming, and politicking to save 25 million hectares of rain-forests. His focus is on human tribes not yet absorbed into the modern world in the most remote places.

“I got to know sixty tribes and made 30 films and five books to reflect the bewitchment I felt from the first time in 1973, living testimony from Stone Age history. In our Third Millenium this ‘first world’ may all disappear and the knowledge they have been saving until today will most likely disappear with them.”
