MERE MORTALS: A showcase of new drama shorts live and on film CANCELLED
Screenstage presents original dramas with a social realism ethos, and in MERE MORTALS we offer a new showcase of short pieces, both in live performance and on digital screen. Since 2010 we’ve brought to the stage and screen over 40 long and short-form productions to considerable critical acclaim from theatregoers, mainstream and social media. Using emerging acting talent with more experienced actors, a freshness of performance is regularly achieved within these independently written and produced dramas. MERE MORTALS offers both monologues and dialogue pieces dealing with subject matter such as PTSD, early-onset Alzheimers, loss, poverty in 2017, abortion, online dating, sex-trafficking and religious radicalisation amongst other important issues. To cross the boundary between on-stage and digital theatre we’ll be presenting some of the productions on film as well as live performance. On behalf of the cast I sincerely hope you’ll come along to see MERE MORTALS and that you will take something positive the experience
