The Edinburgh Short Film Festival runs from November 11th – November 22nd at Summerhall and the Cameo cinema, screening the best in contemporary short film from Scotland, the UK and across the globe!

We’re hosting a visit from the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival with a night of Caribbean short films (everything from screwball zombie comedy from Guadaloupe to powerful gangland drama from Jamaica) we’re also hosting the Sardinia Film Festival with a night of modern Italian short film (including thrillers about paramedics in Naples and animation about baby-eating witches!)
Alongside some of the best local and Scottish-made films, we’re also showcasing Germany Fantasy, animation from Chile, Lebanese documentary, Mexican crime drama, Australian social realism, Scottish black comedies, South Korean neo-noir, Chinese Indie, French sci-fi and many other award-winning short films

We’re also hosting visits from more than 15 award-winning short film directors, hosting lots of interview sessions as well as holding pavement cinema sessions,screening a night of Edinburgh-made Gothic shorts, showing a 1920 version of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with a live performance of contemporary music AND we’re holding a closing night party where we’ll announce the winner of our Rising Star Award as well!
