In Conversation: Bryan Burnett Meets Brian Bilston

Unfortunately Brian Bilston is recovering from covid and will be unable to travel to the festival this weekend. However, we are delighted to say our live events will go ahead; we invite our audience to join us in our Red Lecture Theatre with Bryan Burnett live, and with Brian Bilston appearing via video link at both of his events. While the event will still offer the chance to hear Brian’s wonderful poems and to ‘meet’ him, we understand this is a change from the originally advertised event and as such will be happy to refund tickets as required.

This time, Brian will not only be chatting about his new and side-splittingly funny collection, Days Like These, but also discussing his deep love of music with legendary radio presenter of Radio Scotland’s Get it On, Bryan Burnett. Like the ethos behind Get it On, Brian and Bryan will be digging deep into the joys of poetry and music; celebrating how the two artforms can be woven together to create beautiful moments and memories. Brian (Bilston) will intersperse the sharing of his favourite songs and musical styles with readings of his own sharp and incisive work in this unmissable and unforgettable event.
