+ MORE

We’ve got the return of the capital’s indie legends, and great faves of the late-John Peel, BALLBOY, who will be celebrating the 21st anniversary reissue of their debut album, Club Anthems 2001. Available for the first time on vinyl, the band will be selling double LP copies at this show, ahead of its official release on Lost Map in January. The band’s warm, whimsical and savagely witty speak-sung songs about bored sex, bags of glue, civic shame and polar bears helped to define a generation of fiercely independent Scottish music around the turn of the millennium, and we’re delighted to have them back!

We’ll also be welcoming the DIY-punk stalwarts of Pity Me in County Durham, MARTHA, who are touring their brand new album Please Don’t Take Me Back. Punchy, life-affirming songs, with heart-pumping choruses and face-melting riffs from one of the country’s finest live acts.

Expect blissed-out melodic synth-dreaminess from SUSAN BEAR; pastoral psyche-pop from London-via-Blackburn Nicolas Burrows and friends, aka FELL; and slow-felt, fuzzed-up folk rock from Glasgow-based Canadian L.T. LEIF and their band. Fresh from a residency on the Isle of Eigg, Edinburgh-based sound artist ALLIYAH ENYO will be creating some otherworldly ambience, manipulating her celestial vocals with tape loops and digital effects; and there’ll be gleaming guitar distortions from FORMER CHAMP, a brand new supergroup featuring Martha Ffion and members of Savage MansionCatholic Action and Secret Motorbikes.

Advance tickets: £20

On the door: £22
