Push The Boat Out: Poetry Jam with Leyla Josephine and Band

Interested to explore your poetry in conversation with music? Want to try out improvising lyrically with a band? Here’s your chance. Part open mic, part jam session, this unique event gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Bring a poem you want to share, liaise with the band about mood, rhythm and tempo, and then just give it a go. Unpolished and mistake-riddled attempts are as welcome as polished performances.

Our host, performance poet Leyla Josephine, will guide us through the night and perform her own work.
