Push The Boat Out: Preparing For Your First Open Mic

Rock the Boat is Push the Boat Out’s monthly open mic night, hosted by vivacious poets Catherine Wilson Garry and Julia Sorensen. Well-known and loved as a space to trial out new work, reintroduce old favourites, or maybe even take to the poetry stage for the first time, Rock the Boat is a supportive and energetic space for poets both emerging and established.

If you feel almost ready to take the mic but not quite, make sure you join Catherine [and Julia] for their beginners workshop, preparing for your first open mic on Saturday afternoon.

Rock the Boat will also have a special festival edition on Sunday 26th at 6pm, so this might be your chance to try out your new skills!
