We are excited to present Anthill Films latest documentary, The Engine Inside, on its global release date in Edinburgh.

Follow six everyday people from vastly different worlds who dedicate their lives to a simple, 200-year-old machine. Their trials and tribulations reveal the bicycle’s unique power to change lives and help build a better world.

Covering many different global issues — from climate change and indigenous trauma to socio-economic inequality and more liveable cities — The Engine Inside sparks hope and agency in everyone it touches.

Directed by Darcy Wittenburg and narrated by Phil Liggett MBE (Tour de France commentator and ‘The Voice of Cycling’), this feature length documentary has been produced with cutting edge technology and captivating storytelling. Wittenburg is an accomplished cycling cinematographer, who is recognised as a pioneer of his craft. Together with the celebrated Anthill Films team they have produced the most important cycling film of the year.
