NEHH & The Bristol Branch Present… FORRÓZINHO – World Acoustic Dance Party

Good times, world grooves and great dancing!

The Branch has a drive to get the dance floor moving to traditional sounds from around the globe. They play up-tempo Brazilian forró and baião with a sprinkling of samba, zydeco and ceilidh – any style that suits their trademark sound of fiddle, accordion, driving percussion and vocals. There’s always a good time to be had for young and old alike, so bring your dancing shoes!

Brass, reeds and rhythm section on a big scale! Shunpike Social Club is a loose collective of 30-odd players bringing Cumbia, Brazilian and Cuban music alive with big band flair. Run by Edinburgh’s Oi Musica, they bring celebratory sounds to parties and street festivals across the city, while providing opportunities for players at all stages to get involved in fun, non-formal music making that is seriously joyful to witness!
